Effective date: March 29, 2026. This Cookie Policy explains how Norwalk Wrestling Club uses cookies and similar technologies on norwalkwrestlingclub.us. It works together with our Privacy Policy and the cookie banner shown on the Site.

1. What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files stored on your device. “Similar technologies” include local storage (e.g. browser localStorage), pixels, and script-based tags used for analytics or advertising measurement.

2. Consent banner

When you first visit, you should see a banner with:

• Accept all — enables optional analytics and marketing/conversion tags (and loads web fonts from Google as described below).
• Customize — open a panel to turn Analytics and Marketing / conversion tags on or off independently, then save.
• Essential only — only the storage needed to remember your choice and run the Site without optional third-party measurement or Google Fonts.

Your choice is stored in localStorage under the key nwc_consent_v1 (JSON: version, analytics flag, marketing flag, timestamp). It typically persists until you clear site data for this domain. Clearing storage will show the banner again on your next visit.

This approach aligns with our goal not to run non-essential scripts (including Microsoft UET and Google Fonts) until you opt in via Accept all or Customize.

3. Categories of technologies

3.1 Strictly necessary

Needed to operate the Site and record your consent. Includes the consent record in localStorage. Without it, we cannot reliably honor your preferences on repeat visits.

3.2 Analytics (optional)

If enabled, we may load tools to understand how the Site is used (pages viewed, referrals, device type). Specific vendors may be added over time; this policy will be updated if we add new analytics scripts. Analytics is off until you consent.

3.3 Marketing & conversion measurement (optional)

If enabled, we may load tags such as Microsoft Advertising Universal Event Tracking (UET) to measure ad conversions and support remarketing audiences, subject to Microsoft’s policies. Marketing tags are off until you consent. Configuration may require setting a UET tag ID in our scripts (see site documentation or contact us).

3.4 Web fonts (optional, tied to consent)

We use Google Fonts for typography. Stylesheets are injected only after you choose Accept all or enable at least one of Analytics or Marketing in Customize. If you choose Essential only (or save with both optional categories off), the Site uses system font fallbacks only.

4. Duration

• Consent record — persists in localStorage until you remove it.
• Third-party cookies — lifetimes vary by provider (e.g. Microsoft, Google). Check their documentation.

5. Managing cookies in your browser

You can block or delete cookies through browser settings. Blocking all cookies may break parts of the Site. Instructions are available in your browser’s help section.

6. Updates
